Your Investment

“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten” – Benjamin Franklin

Why is my time and effort worth your investment?

I know there are many of you reading this page who would love to have your images displayed on the walls in your home. I know you would love to have an album to go back through with your guests showcasing the memories of your special day and your unique family. I would love to be the photographer that you choose to capture those memories.

I know there are many of you reading this page who would love to have your images displayed on the walls in your home. I know you would love to have an album to go back through with your guests showcasing the memories of your special day and your unique family. I would love to be the photographer that you choose to capture those memories.

I know that there are many photographers out there today who can give you a CD full of images for less than I charge. However, have they helped you create wall art you love? Have they helped you design an album you cherish and are ready to pass down through the generations so that your children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren can cherish it also? Some of my favorite memories are going through albums with both of my grandmothers and hearing stories about the family pictures that were taken back when it was a huge deal. I still have an original tin-type photographic image of my dad’s mom’s dad’s dad. It’s really cool and such a treasure!

I want your family to have those treasures today, tomorrow, next year, next generation, for always. That is the service I want to provide for you and your family and your friends and their family and friends. I don’t do that by not valuing the work that I put into helping you own beautiful art work.

So how does this process work for you?

Step 1 – we set up a pre-consultation meeting. This usually takes 30-60 minutes and is a time for us to get to know each other a little bit, find out what you need images for, where you want to hang art work and who you plan to give gifts to. It is also when we will go over my price list so you know what your potential investment in your heirlooms will be.

Step 2 – we choose a mutually beneficial date and you pay your non-refundable session fee in full. This fee is based on $250 per hour of shooting time. Most sessions only require an hour of time but some, including newborns, Fresh 48 and senior sessions, will require up to three or four hours. The session fee does not include any digital files or any printed products.

Step 3 – we go over outfit ideas and color choices as well as determining what location you would love to be photographed at. Are you a reader? The stacks at the library is a great idea. Is your husband a train aficionado? The train station is amazing as a location. Is there a location that has great meaning to your family? That is the best place to have your images captured.

Step 4 – we set a date to review all your images. This is typically three weeks after the session date.

Step 5 – I carefully cull and edit your images. During this time, I may post one or two images on social media sites so that you can see what I am working on for you. If you prefer that I not post on social media, you just have to let me know.

Step 6 – we meet and review all your images. I will be there to help you choose which images you would love to display on your walls and which ones you would love to have in an album. Once you have determined which images you would like to purchase, I can create the exact art you want to display and hold. If you need to make your payment in stages, I do offer payment plans so that you can end up with exactly what you want to have.

Step 7 – I come to your house and help you with mounting all your wall art and make sure you love your album as much as you love your images.

Step 8 – rinse and repeat. I love repeat clients who continue to come back year after year. I get to see the changes in their families and watch them grow. This is the most wonderful gift you could give me and you are giving a gift to yourself and your children and your children’s children at the same time.

I am looking forward to working with you and can’t wait to hear from you. You can reach me at the contact link above or by calling (385)202-6810. Text messages work also if that’s your style.
