Guilty Pleasures

My guilty pleasures are things that I don’t usually talk about but they make me who I am.

Avocado is my favorite food and I would eat one every day if I could.

I read historical novels and romance novels constantly. You can often see my light on at 2 in the morning still reading even when I have to get up at 6 which is often.

The Beatles and Elvis are best served up with Amy Grant and Rich Mullins sprinkled in with Foreigner and Madonna.

My Kindle library contains almost 5,000 titles across 20 different genres. Plus I still have shelves of “real” books in my home. And yes, I have read more than 95% of those books and my kids have read the other ones.

Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance are my favorite current television shows, even though I don’t have cable or any easy way to watch them. My childhood favorite was Little House on the Prairie which is still one of my all-time favorites.

Going to thrift stores to look at wedding dresses and ball gowns is a great way to spend free time (and find some amazing $10 gowns).

Listening to my children practice their music brings happiness and peace to my soul, even when they hit a wrong note or several.

I love singing in my car with the music cranked up really loud so no one can tell I can’t carry a tune.

Cowboy boots and Stetsons are my favorite thing to see men dressed in, especially if they are worn with a three piece suit.

Ms. PacMan is my favorite video/arcade game ever made but I play Tiny Towers almost every day.

I love watching Disney princess movies, animated or live action, and listening to the sound tracks over and over again.

Jigsaw puzzles with no edges are insanely hard and so much fun to put together, and so are 3D puzzles though I haven’t found any that were very difficult.
